An unusual setting can add a special touch to any event. Check out the Marine Museum of Manitoba's atmosphere. The George Dorman room is available as rental space with a twist. This room is an actual ship!

The George Dorman Room offers a unique cost effective setting for receptions, dinners, meeting, and other gatherings. We can accommodate 60 comfortably for a sit-down meal.

The George Dorman Room is a spacious 15ft x 43ft room, which is wheelchair accessible, and is operated year round. The room has hardwood floors, heating and air-conditioning. A full kitchen and a sound system are also available.

The George Dorman Room also has a dock outside that can accommodate an additional 60 people.

When renting one of the banquet areas you can also arrange to leave the entire museum open or arrange guided tours of the museum for an additional charge.

You should book at least one month in advance. You will receive written confirmation by mail with a copy of the regulations for you to sign and return prior to the event.

Other Rooms are Available

The other 3 rooms that are available for rent  are: the "Keenora Galley", " Keenora  Upper Lounge" and the " Bradbury Lower Lounge". All 3 of these rooms are approximately 20 ft x 20 ft, and hold a maximum of 30 people. These rooms have no heat or air conditioning, no kitchen, no sound system and are not wheel chair accessible. However, the rooms are ideal for meetings, and provide a unique setting as they are located on the ships themselves. These 3 rooms are available for rent from May long weekend to September long weekend.
