Through donations and grants, the
museum is able to do restoration work on the ships at the museum. The
pictures above show some of the major restoration work that is in progress this
summer at the museum.
With the help of the Selkirk & District Community Foundation
and the Winnipeg Foundation, the museum is re-decking the outer deck of the
C.G.V. Bradbury. The new rubber decking that is being applied to the decks
will seal them and prevent the rain from leaking into the ship and
onto their current displays.
The Marine Museum would like to
take this opportunity to thank all Foundations for their support. Without it
restoration
projects like this would not be possible.
